The Twelve Days Of Christmas: Day 5

It's no surprise to us at AudioADD that Radiohead landed the number five album of the decade with In Rainbows. If you weren't in tune with its release in October of 2007, here's a little recap:

It had been four years since the release of Hail to the Thief and there had been news of Radiohead working hard (and not working) in the studio four a couple of years. Then, out of nowhere, inrainbows.com popped up offering the album as a digital download - for whatever price you wanted to pay.

According to frontman Thom Yorke, every album preceding In Rainbows had been leaked, so they were preempting by leaking their own album. Despite their fans' ability to download the album for free if they wanted, the retail release that followed topped charts in both the UK and US.

The tour for In Rainbows was the best selling of Radiohead's quarter-century career, and the album went on to take home two Grammy awards. In case you didn't see the award show live, here's their epic performance of "15 Step" with the USC Marching Band:
